Typically in an art show you'll see the finished product - a consistent body of work. But how did the artist get there? What was the experimental path?

In 'Breadcrumbs' I am showing small pieces that I've made along the way while developing ideas for larger works such as the 'Phosphenes' I recently showed at the Elaine Fleck Gallery.

New work by Mikael Sandblom will be displayed in the Cell Gallery. Using photography, paint and laser cut components over aluminum panels, Sandblom creates intriguing works of art that compress several images into one and keeps the eye and mind moving!

The Queen West Art Crawl (QWAC) is a charitable organization that features a three-day weekend long festival of creativity and community. It's designed to celebrate and promote the art, culture and diversity of Queen West in Toronto.

The cornerstone of QWAC is the Outdoor Art Exhibition in beautiful Trinity Bellwoods. The Art and Culture Festival features a juried selection of the province's best artists and artisans, and also has a Kids Zone, Performance Zone and Toronto's best food vendors.

"The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition" - Toronto

The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is Canada's largest, longest running juried contemporary outdoor art fair. Founded in 1961, Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition was established to nurture artistic excellence and artists' entrepreneurial spirit, and to showcase contemporary art to the general public. This free public event showcases works by over 320 contemporary visual artists and makers, ranging in medium from painting, photography, and mixed media to jewellery and ceramics, and attracts 100,000 visitors each year to Nathan Phillips Square.

Mikael's booth will be located in the North West corner of Nathan Philips Square. Booth #NM-44:
